Messy but Marvelous: Mercy in the Mess
Christmas is right around the corner. Are you ready? For so many of us, we have lists that are not finished, homes that are not quite ready, and lives that feel frenzied and frantic. Getting ready for Christmas can be a humbling experience. But humbled people are in for a marvelous Christmas. Today, we marvel with Elizabeth, Mary, and even John the Baptist (in utero!) at what the Lord has done for all people. The Mighty One has been mindful of the humble neediness of all his people, and he has done great things. He lifts up those who have been bowed down by all their burdens. He fills those who hunger for a life of real meaning with the good news that God has made them his own. He causes us to dwell in safety because by this Child we have been made holy!
