The Ambitious Church Marvels at God’s Might
As summer draws to a close, many have spent quality time in the great outdoors. What many describe as “Mother Nature,” believers know to be God's handiwork. When the universe with its stars, planets, and galaxies puts on its marvelous display in perfect precision, that’s not just nature. That’s God revealing his glory. When a tiny seed falls to the ground and grows into a towering redwood tree, that’s not just nature. That’s God revealing his power. When life is conceived in the womb of a mother who then gives birth to a human, that’s not just nature, either. God has made us fearfully and wonderfully. So the psalmist is justified when he writes, “The fool says in his heart there is no god.” May we worship our Creator God today and give him the praise for providing us with such proof of his majesty. And may we respond in ways that are pleasing to him.
