Follow Me: & Be Amazed
Have you ever needed help? Sometimes admitting that we need help is more painful than a root canal. And asking someone else for help? Out of the question! Why is that? We pride ourselves on our ability to roll up our sleeves and get the job done. After more attempts—and failures!—than we care to admit, we have to throw up our hands and admit we need help. In our Gospel reading, we meet a man who obviously needed help. Everyone around him could see that. But who could help a man that was deaf and mute? Only God! Thankfully, the Son of God was on the scene and ready to help and heal. This same Jesus knows that we need even more help than that man. We need someone to live for us, to die for our sins, and to open heaven for us. The One who does all things well, has done this for us, as well.
