Living in Tense Times: Ready for Anything

Are Christians strong people or weak people? Yes. This is not to say that there are believers that fit in both categories—though that is true. Christians are strong people and they are weak people—sometimes at the very same moment. Today, we meet a man going through the unimaginable—his son had been demon-possessed since childhood. To say he was at his wits’ end would be an understatement. He is weary and desperate and struggling with unbelief. Yet in this moment, he discovers what it means to be strong in the Lord. I do believe, help me overcome my unbelief. This same strength is imparted to us for a similar spiritual battle. We are encouraged to be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power by putting on the full armor that God has given us. When we face our spiritual battles, this is our confidence. We lean on the Lord, not into ourselves. Our strength comes from God!
