Acts of God: Built for Success

Do you ever feel too busy to spend time in God’s Word? At times, we feel an intense pull to many other tasks and relationships. Surely things like work and family are very important. God calls us to be faithful to each one of these callings. But time in God’s Word is never a waste of time. God gave us his Word to help us understand and appreciate his love and his blessings to us. God’s Word directs our steps. It strengthens us when we are worn out. And we need not pit our callings or even our family against time spent in God’s Word listening to the gracious words of our Heavenly Father. Not only does he assure us of his unconditional love, but he guides and strengthens us to put that same love into practice in our work and our relationships. To foster this kind of growth, God also gifts spiritual leaders. In Jeremiah, we see what those leaders should not be or do. In Hebrews, we are reminded what a treasure each faithful spiritual leader is in forming our faith and connecting us to Christ!
