Good News: Arrives

Tonight is a special night. Any birth is an exciting event. This birth is out-of-thisworld wonderful. The candles are lit. Our hearts are warmed and joyful. Tonight we celebrate a light shining in the darkness—the love of God’s heart taking on human flesh and being revealed to us for the very first time. Christmas Eve is a glorious night. The Immanuel—God with us—is here. How does he come? Humbly: born in a manger, in a seemingly insignificant town, in a conquered country. Why is he here? To bring glory to God in the highest and to establish peace on earth between men and God. Who is this, that does these wonderful things? He is Christ the Lord, our Prince of Peace, a Savior born for you—Jesus.
