THE REFRESHING TRUTH WE CLING TO
River of Life Lutheran Church is a mission plant of the Wisconsin Lutheran Synod. River of Life began holding services on June 2, 2013 in a temporary facility, the Community Bingo Hall at 3690 S. Estrella Parkway, Goodyear, AZ 85338. On October 26, 2013 we took up residence in Suite 107. These facilities were just north of the intersection of Estrella Parkway and MC 85 in Goodyear, AZ. Since then, we have outgrown that space and moved north on Estrella Parkway to 725 S. Estrella Pkwy. (Suite 120). We now worship in an expanded facility just north of the Goodyear Post Office, right next to Sunrise Donuts.
Many times, when churches introduce themselves they say that they are Bible-believing. Every Christian church should be Bible-believing, but we think it is most helpful to explain what we believe the Bible teaches. Here is a quick sample of what we believe about the Bible and the Son of God.
The Bible is God's inspired Word, without error.
Jesus Christ is true God and true man in one person.
Jesus is the only Savior for the people of the world.
All people are born in sin and need the forgiveness won by Jesus.
People are saved by grace through faith in Jesus.
God gives spiritual blessings to people through the good news of Jesus.
The continuing purpose of this congregation, as a gathering of Christians, is to serve all people in God's world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the basis of the Holy Scriptures. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19) Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. (Mark 16:15)
Our church name includes the word "evangelical" (good news). Therefore, we recognize a local and world-wide mission responsibility to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to others.
